| UPDATE. My life has been fairly uneventful lately... but not to say unpleasant. In fact, it's amazing... though mostly due to the amazingness that is Megan. She's one of the best things in my life.
I banged the shit out of my head today. I was playing tag with two of my kids and misjudged the height of one of the wooden bars or something and smashed into it. Laid on the ground gripping my head in pain for a while, the kid asking "are you ok? are you ok?" blood starts dripping onto the ground and I think "Damn it, I hope I don't pass out and wake up in a hospital." I sit up, feel the blood start running down my face, so I decide it's time to put pressure right where I hit my head even though it hurts like a bitch. I got out my cell phone thinking I should just call somebody and tell them to come get me or something, and the kids, but then.... there'd be all that drama and people involved which didn't seem very appealing either since I wasn't absolutely sure I was seriously injured. So I sat for a little while making sure I was OK for the most part, able to deal with this without needing to call people. I stood up and told the kids to stay at the park while I walked to the bathroom to clean myself up. As I crossed by some basketball courts the players noticed the blood running down my face and hand on my head and I kept hearing them say something about "and he wasn't even playing basketball!" I got to the bathroom, washed the blood off my face and was half afraid to take my hand off my head fearing some torrent of blood would just start pouring out... but it didn't. A guy came in and asked if I was alright, if he should call an ambulance. I said no I thought I'd be alright since I was bleeding as much and it seemed to be clotting up and thanked him for his help. I stayed at the park for another hour with the kids simply holding pressure on my head with toilet paper because I needed to get the hours in plus their Dad wouldn't be back till the time I said we'd be back.
So other than that exciting event, I'm also going to start teaching this guy piano lessons. My Dad has a friend at work who's having some difficulty with piano so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm decent at piano and can teach the fundamentals of it but I'm no pro so I'm not sure how much I'd be able to help... but it should be interesting anyway... heaven forbid I already start teaching music in some fashion after I got my Music Education degree hahah.
LATER.

| Here's a song you should check out:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWlNpognYGY
It's by Roy Orbison who had more hits than I knew he had. Most people know him by his one single "Pretty Women," but I like this song even better. Warning beforehand: it's mildly 80s-tastic and he's lip syncing.
Pop songs need more timpani.
And to make up for the lip syncing here's a song by Mama Cass (of the Mama's and the Papa's) singing dream a little dream solo. She has an amazing voice even live.

Also as some of you know, I'm now dating whom I'm pretty sure is the most amazing girl ever. Go ahead and roll your eyes, too bad for you I'm sure my single male friends will be disappointed (or jealous) that I'm leaving the club but you can only dance by yourself for so long. (metaphorical sentence FTW, cheese factor +5).
But seriously, I feel pretty damn lucky. <3

| Just a quick entry. Today was a fantastic day for the first time in a long while.

| I find it amazing how I can look up so many random songs on youtube and more often than not there's a live version. Here's one such song you should check out.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAcaUtlj8NE
This is by jazz/pop singer Fiona Apple, called "I Know." I find her performance captivating... I guess it's because of the amount of emotion she expresses with her face while singing. The lyrics to the tune are amazing as well... it's one of those songs where the words mean as much to me as the melody. Look them up, they're worth reading. The phrasing of the lines within the melody adds an incredible amount of meaning that would otherwise be lost if it were only words or only instruments.
Other than that, I'm on the third book of Steven King's dark tower series. It's a great series so far and I'm sure it'll keep up. I might finish all 7 books within a month, which either means I'm a fast reader or have too much free time.
I also fucked up my right arm yesterday which sucks. Or rather, my elbow. I was rollerskating with the kiddies for my job and fell on my elbow pretty badly. Luckily I kept cool and said "I think I need to sit down for a while" instead of shouting "FUCKING CHRIST PAIN FUCK OW" in front of a 7 year old. At this point I can bend it inward only to 90 degrees, and outward at about 30 degrees. Tough shit if you don't know your angles. I guess something might be fractured. I should drink more fucking milk. Try driving a manual car with no right hand ;)

| So I didn't get the job in Japan, just so everybody knows. I'll be taking my praxis this month and in June since, well, I need to start making money doing something I'm qualified for. So yea, that's all.
